All proceeds go to spreading holiday cheer to children in residential units in MidCoast Maine.

Our Origins

My beautiful daughter Julianna spent two Christmases at a Sweetser Residential Unit in Mid-Coast Maine before she came to us. These residential care units provide an important service for children and teens in crisis but as you can imagine they’re not festive or cozy places. Many children in residential care are not able to go home for the holidays. Some children who are in State custody don’t have families to visit for the holidays and will not receive anything. On average there are 20 to 24 children at Sweetser residential units in Mid-Coast Maine over Christmas and our aim is to make their day a little bit brighter by giving a stocking to each one of those kids, stuffed with candy, toys, and Christmas magic.

Julianna was one of the most generous people I have ever known, even when she had so little of her own, she would share with others. She was as delighted to give gifts as she was to receive them. As each holiday season approaches since her passing, I try to embody her spirit of generosity and bring that to children who need a little Christmas magic. If you want to help, here’s how you can: share this site, purchase an item (all funds go to the stockings) or you can make a donation of $10, $20, or $50. Each stocking includes the following: Coloring book and colored pencils, gloves, socks, stuffed animal, toys, ChapStick, slime or silly putty, lotion and of course candy! Along with the stockings we also donate, hats, gloves, socks, games, and craft supplies to the Sweetser Residential centers.
